Valentine's Day Card Making
I remember when my girls were elementary school age, they loved getting out the construction paper, glitter, dollies, and stickers to make valentines for their classmates.
This year I thought it would be fun for the grand kids to make their own valentine cards for school.
For the past few weekends, I have gotten out the construction paper, glitter glue, stickers and scissor, for the grand kids to make their valentines this year for their classmates.
This is their final product minus the suckers. The oldest grandson wrote the poem, "Roses are Red, Violets are Blue, Honey is Sweet and so are you," with colored gel pens. The second oldest grandson wanted to use gel pens and stickers to decorate his cards. And the youngest grandson which is 5, I cut out hearts, let him write his name and put sticker on them.
I had thought ahead and bought 2 bags of heart shape suckers from the dollar tree, but you guessed it I
didn't have enough so I went through the candy stash and found some smarties to put in the middle of the heart shape card to make it look like a butterfly. 60 cards in all were sent to school with the grandson on Valentine's Day morning.
Thank you for stopping by, Vicki the Colo Junckett
